Ep 6: What really has FIRST place in our hearts? Could there be some idols that we don’t realize in there?

What's first place in your life? What's your mind think most about? What do you focus on growing in your life? What is the thing you hold on tightest too? Could that thing be an idol possibly? Oh how easy it is to get distracted. At least I know for me it is! I say God is first in my life... I WANT Him first in my life, but if I don't check my heart constantly, distractions can sneak in.

Kids, family, businesses, careers, people, money, food, alcohol, social media, social media status, my phone, sports teams, worry, fear, insecurities.... the list goes on and on! ALL of these things can become idols. It doesn't mean all of them are bad things... but it's when we love the good things MORE then the one of gives us the good things. When we love the blessings more then the Bless-er.  When we want the created more then the Creator! 

My prayer is that this episode doesn't bring guilt or shame or condemnation but FREEDOM by bring to light the things we put first before our Heavenly Father!
